Batteries Everywhere
Rechargeable batteries have become commonplace in recent years, cordless phones, cell phones, tools, solar yard lights, handheld electronics, these come to mind as very common along with many more items to numerous to mention.
All needing efficient portable power.
Yet there is an inherent limitation in any devise as battery design and technology is the limiting factor to the devise’s performance, the battery manufacturers and devise makers are getting better at it and are on a quest for the perfect battery, but in the meantime, they don’t mind selling you more batteries.
I personally know the frustration of having a great cordless drill and having the batteries go belly up after only a couple of years, and you know the drill itself is perfectly fine and will go for many more years provided you have good batteries to run it.
A pair of these replacements can cost more than the original drill (any tool) combo kit!
The convenience and portability is great on any cordless battery run item, but performance life at times disappoints.
The best way around this is a simple process called battery reconditioning.
Times Have Changed
We all grew up throwing batteries away, they are convenient, fairly inexpensive, and if buy in bulk, we save a bit more per battery.
Lead acid batteries start our vehicles and have been around for years, These go bad and we go buy new ones. We pay recycle fees for every new car battery purchased.
Deep cycle and fork lift type batteries make great standby and solar panel storage type batteries and are the first choice for off grid power storage and emergency backup power.
Laptops and cellphones, all limited to a battery’s condition.
Irregardless, it is what we have, and many times it is too many batteries being thrown away and possibly wasted forever, costing you more money.
Extend Usage
Yes, we need to recycle and dispose of our batteries properly, but to take it a step further, you can give that battery, whatever the type, a second chance, and save money and resources.
